This is Labour councillor Paul Beck. He is the current ceremonial Mayor of Hartlepool. Last week he voted to give himself a 31 increase in his councillors allowance. Previously Councillor Beck anounced his resignation as a trustee of The Manor Residents Association in the middle of the scandal which led to fellow Labour Councillor Angie Wilcox going to prison for fraud. Let this sink in for a moment, he is the current Mayor of Hartlepool. His name now sits on a list with Ralph Ward Jackson and Sir William Gray.
