Theresa May will announce today that the next Conservative Government will protect and increase defence spending in the next Parliament. Keeping the country safe is the first duty of a Prime Minister and Theresa May will make sure that the brave men and women of our armed forces have the equipment and resources they need. Defence spending will increase by at least 0.5 above inflation every year and will be kept at least at the NATO target of 2 of GDP. Compare that to Jeremy Corbyn who couldnt manage our economy and couldnt protect our military spending a lifetime calling for it to be abolished.
