Always great to see one of our Councillors seeking the views and opinions of the people he represents. Having just read the Hartlepool Mail article on the Councils deficit for next year, I imagine families across Hartlepool are becoming increasingly worried about the next Council Tax rise. Council Tax setting is an awful time in general, but even more so when residents are already hard pressed. My feeling is that we simply cannot continue to ask residents to foot the bill and must cut our cloth accordingly. But this poses a risk to services, especially where services arent legally required. My question to you all is simple.... Would you prefer to pay more to support the Council or would you prefer to see further cuts at the Council?
