Today, Wednesday 21st August 2019, police in Hartlepool arrested a 39 year old man on suspicion of burglary after an incident occurred at around 3pm on Tuesday 20th August on Clarence Road in Hartlepool. At around 445pm on Wednesday a PCSO sighted the suspect in the Burn Valley ward of the town leading to an area search by multiple officers from both the neighbourhood and response policing teams. This culminated in the arrest of the male. The suspect remains in police custody whilst enquiries continue. This is part of Cleveland Polices Operation Phoenix a summer long operation to improve public service, help vulnerable people, tackle serious violence and prevent crime.
