The Ceremonial Mayor of Hartlepool Councillor Brenda Loynes raised the Red Ensign in front of Civic Centre this morning in a special ceremony to mark Merchant Navy Day. We thank our seafarers, past and present, for their bravery and dedication and for the vital role they play in the life of our nation.
