Update on sale of Guinness Trust Houses We have a representative from the area who traveled down to London to attend the Guinness Trust housing consultation. This was to get an update on the situation with the Guinness houses in Hartlepool being sold, including the ones in Belle Vue. Bids have been received to buy the houses by unnamed parties. Some of the bids are what was expected, some of the bids arent as good. Guinness Trust have asked for more details from all interested parties. A decision shortlist is expected by end of November 2017, then tenant consultation events to be held in December 2017. Dates still TBC, but the Hartlepool consultation will be held at the Belle Vue Centre. If no suitable landlord is found (has to provide as good but preferably better service than Guinness) they would just keep their housing stock and keep everything the way it is.
