Great news for Seaton Carew! Following discussions with Youth Focus North East, Im proud to announce an exciting new project, known initially as Seaton Carew Youthy. Seaton Carew has been without a dedicated Youth Service since the demise of the Elizabeth Way Youth Centre Sports Hall in 2013, when services were moved up to Golden Flatts School, the site demolished and no new building erected. Since then many residents and young people have brought it to our attention that they want and need a Youth provision in Seaton Carew. Over the coming days Ill be providing further updates on what happens next. In the meantime, I would welcome discussions with any Young Leaders who would be willing to give up some of their spare time to help shape the service.
