New Years Eve callout for Hartlepool Coastguard Rescue Team Hartlepool RNLI glad to see even on New Years Eve these volunteers are still at our service to help people in need. CALLOUT 311218 @2239 Paged by Humber Coastguard to reports of a despondent male in the Seaton area. We arrived on scene along with Seaham Coastguard and duty scoo S5B. As we were putting together a search plan Hartlepool RNLI had reported seeing someone waving to them on the North Gare Pier. Members from Hartlepool made their way along the pier while waiting for others to arrive to find the said person sat near the end. We negotiated with the gentleman and after about 10 minutes managed to talk him into walking of with the rescue officers were he was placed into our CRV to keep warm till family members arrived to assist. A good outcome for our final shout of 2018. Happy new year to everyone of our followers. Hope this year is a good one for you all 07AH
