Family Fun at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre this Easter Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre has lined up two family-friendly shows this Easter to keep the little ones entertained during the holidays. Childhood favourite The Owl and the Pussycat and the uplifting story of Christopher Nibble will both be brought to life on stage next week. Christopher Nibble tells the story of one guinea pigs selfless undertaking to help halt the disappearance of the delicious dandelion forever. The production from Topsy Turvy Theatre combines energetic storytelling, handmade puppets, original music and stunning scenery. The charming tale will be performed at Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre on Tuesday 11 April and is suitable for children aged 2-7 years. Children’s theatre company Kitchen Zoo are also bringing their first show, The Owl and the Pussycat to the Theatre on Thursday 13 April, in a spectacular adaptation of the classic poem which features puppetry and live music, for ages 3-7. The North East based company is a duo made up of performers Bob Nicholson and Hannah Goudie, who have worked together since 2014 on various projects. The Owl and the Pussycat will be their first show as Kitchen Zoo and it has been developed in partnership with ARC, Stockton-on-Tees and The Witham, Barnard Castle. Hannah Goudie described her excitement: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to explore this brilliantly bizarre adventure by Edward Lear. There is such beauty in his storytelling and the language he uses which we are excited to bring to life through music and song as we work with the wonderfully talented Jeremy Bradfield as musician performer.” Families are encouraged to book their tickets as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Ticket prices are £6 for adults and £5 for children. Family tickets (up to 5 people) are available for £20 and can be bought from Hartlepool Town Hall Theatre by calling the Box Office on 01429 890000 or at www.hartlepooltownhalltheatre.com
