Kevs Klub is a place to meet and socialise with like minding people, we offer a safe environment to everyone over the age of 17, with any form of special needs or learning difficulty. we can also steer people to the correct organisation regarding any information on living in your own home safely and independently.
we dont do anything as such, we do have a pool table, darts, PC tablets (no interenet) bingo, raffles, table top hand eye co-ordination games, mindfulness colouring books, Wii console games and music in the back ground, (no heavy beat loud music)
a small refreshment cafe with drinks from as little as 50p.
£1 entry fee with a free raffle ticket. Membership is £4 per year you need to visit the club at least twice in each calander month to maintain your membership, for this fee you are entitled to attend our events for free, these nights include, pie and pea suppers, fish and chip nights, Christmas meal out at a local Restaurant. if you are not a paid up member you will need to pay a fee to attend.
we also have weekly Fun-chair arerobics, and many training events which have included : First Aid, Safety at home and visits from our local emergency services offering us vital information on how to stay safe.
we try our hardest to offer something for everyone, if you dont see anything you like, then ask and if we can get it we shall try.
we are based in Newholm Community Centre, within Newholm Court, (off Ormesby Rd) the centre is disabled friendly with easy access and car parking to the front. We open every Wednesday evening from 6pm till 9pm.
we do have care workers on the floor, but if you require 1-1 care then please come along with your carer or guardian.. carers are free to enter, but please note, we are a volutary ran club, all monies raised each week is then used the following week, we dont rely on any public funding and are self sufficient, so please help by buying a raffle ticket or playing bingo, and buying the odd cup of tea, thank you.
